Why is it I’m a criminal, I’m up to no good, don’t expect much from me because I’m black? Look down on me… Laugh and pity me because the blood in my veins runs deep and the color of my skin is too dark to be considered pure. Why is it injustice & uncivilized to value the eye for an eye penalty yet have a black man on death row for “allegedly” killing a white man! That’s an eye for an eye at its finest. Take his life because he took his, or kill this one because they’ve killed another… allegedly. Have we not suffered enough? Why we must get over slavery, yet LORD HAVE MERCY don’t you dare skip that chapter about the holocaust. Is it fair that little black children have to excel above and beyond to even be considered for a position the average white student can get with his eyes closed. And it isn’t because he’s the better candidate, simply because he’s the WHITER candidate. How many more black men must be put in jail for even carrying a gun when a white man can pull the trigger and get off scotch free. Is it fair that a white woman can bury her child in her car and live to tell the tale but a black woman scolding her children in public will result in the children sitting in foster care? It pains me to even admit, I have succumbed to the standards that society have set for me. I have to raise my voice, add chemicals to my hair and dance the dance little white children do. Or else, cause my dances, are too ghetto, my hair too ghetto and my standards too ghetto. Whatever, I DO is ghetto, yet, had my skin been whiter; my actions would have been the right thing to do. Our slang is vulgar, our music explicit and our fashion URBAN because we are not the NORMALITY. We are the difference so we must act our part and try to be normal like the white people. Because we all know… WHITE. IS. NORMAL. Black is negative, Blackmail, Blackmarket, Blackouts… but we all know what white stands for. BLANCO is pure, Blanco is cleanliness, blanco is right. Blanco is what I need to be in order to survive. We can all lie and pretend that racism doesn’t exist. Let’s put on the facade that everything is all right, and tell the little black people to quit complaining. Because its okay, We aren’t racist, our mothers best friend neighbor is black, see, we know black people we’re friends. We couldn’t possibly have hatred for your kind in our bones. BECAUSE WE KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS BLACK. Man, fuck this. Justice just isn’t justice anymore. Or was it ever? Maybe nothing has changed. I just can’t see a society that thinks a little boy screaming for fucking HELP is the person doing the attacking. A white man, following a little black boy is able to SHOOT and kill him without being arrested. HE was specifically told NOT TO FOLLOW TRAYVON, yet he continued to pursue him, but of course, Trayvon was in the wrong, because he was wearing a hoody, walking in the wrong place at the wrong time and carrying a load bag of skittles. & Most importantly, because he was black.
